The Syracuse University Sustainability Science Media Action Center site is here to help journalists and documentary filmmakers find resources for stories about green building, clean water and alternative energy. We provide everything from original research in these three core areas to links to regional and local environmental reporting that might otherwise escape your attention. We feature a blog, Green Hue and Cry. We also post stories produced by journalism and documentary film students from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. As we build this site into a valuable tool for you, we would appreciate your comments and suggestions.
The site also includes resources for scientists and engineers who want to better understand how the media work and who want to begin to tell their own stories of the work they do.
The SUSSMAC site is an independently managed resource created in cooperation with the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, the Syracuse Center of Excellence in Environmental and Energy Systems and the SUNY College of Evironmental Science and Forestry. SUSSMAC is funded by an SU Chancellor’s Leadership grant.
